Please read this document carefully. By signing or agreeing to this document electronically, you are waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue Everyday Advocates, Inc., its affiliated parties, and event organizers.

1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION & SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
   I voluntarily apply to participate in volunteer activities organized, sponsored, or conducted by Everyday Advocates, Inc. (“Everyday Advocates”), a Florida non-profit corporation. I understand that volunteer activities may include, but are not limited to: walking along public streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, high-traffic corridors, parks, waterways, and other community areas; neighborhood infrastructure inspections; environmental and litter cleanups; operating portable scales, trash tongs/grabbers, and other manual tools; participating in gamified app challenges, leaderboards, and prize contests; attending community events; interactions or contact with members of the general public; and, consuming provided food or beverages.
   
   A. Conduct & Property Boundaries: I agree to remain strictly within public rights-of-way, public sidewalks, public streets, and designated public areas during volunteer activities. I understand and agree that I am strictly prohibited from entering private property, private lots, or gated communities without explicit authorization from an Everyday Advocates Lead Organizer. I agree not to alter, deface, or damage any public or private property.
   
   
2. EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF ALL RISKS
   I understand and acknowledge that participation in volunteer activities involves inherent risks of property damage, illness, bodily injury, severe physical harm, or death. These risks include, but are not limited to:

   
   A. Environmental & Traffic Hazards: Hazards associated with working near motor vehicle traffic, high-speed road corridors, impaired or negligent drivers, broken pavement, trip hazards, flooded or clogged stormwater drains, exposed wiring, and unlit streets.

   
   B. Physical & Health Hazards: Dehydration, heat exhaustion, sun exposure, insect bites/stings, encounters with domestic animals or wildlife, and exposure to communicable illnesses.

   
   C. Refuse & Tool Hazards: Physical contact with unknown, toxic, or hazardous waste, sharp objects, broken glass, rusty metal, discarded syringes/needles, and heavy bulk debris, as well as risks associated with operating manual cleanup equipment and weighing scales.

   
   D. Products, Food, & Contests: Allergic reactions or foodborne illness from provided food, snacks, or water, as well as risks or technical glitches associated with gamified event mobile applications, leaderboard scoring, or promotional prizes.

   I expressly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, both known and unknown, even if arising from the ordinary negligence of Everyday Advocates, Inc. or its representatives, and assume full legal responsibility for my participation.
   
   

3. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
   In consideration for being permitted to participate in Everyday Advocates volunteer activities, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Everyday Advocates, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, staff, volunteers, agents, representatives, contractors, sponsors, event partners, venue owners, and successors (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, personal injury, illness, or death that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in, traveling to or from, or preparing for any volunteer activity. This release applies to ordinary negligence by the Released Parties to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law.
   
   

4. INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS
   I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or resulting from my participation in volunteer activities, my intentional misconduct, trespass or unauthorized entry onto private property, destruction of public or private property, placement of debris or hazards in traffic lanes, my failure to follow safety guidelines, or my breach of any provision of this agreement.
   
   

5. MEDICAL FITNESS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT, & ALLERGIES
   
   

   A. Fitness: I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions, limitations, or allergies that would prevent my safe participation or endanger myself or others. I agree to inform event organizers of any medical conditions, physical limitations, allergies, or other circumstances that may affect my ability to safely participate.
   
   

   B. Allergies & Products: I accept sole responsibility for monitoring my own dietary restrictions, allergies, and physical limits regarding any food, water, products, or equipment provided at events.

   
   C. Emergency Medical Authorization: Everyday Advocates does not employ medical staff. In the event of an injury, illness, or medical emergency during an event, I hereby authorize Everyday Advocates staff or representatives to obtain or administer emergency medical care or transport on my behalf if I am incapacitated or unable to consent. I agree that I am solely responsible for all healthcare and transportation costs incurred.
   
   

6. EQUIPMENT, PRODUCTS, & PRIZES DISCLAIMER
   All equipment, manual tools, portable scales, promotional products, food, beverages, and contest prizes provided by Everyday Advocates are supplied “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I release Everyday Advocates from any claims arising from equipment failure, app technical defects, or prize availability/condition.
   
   

7. PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE
   I grant Everyday Advocates, Inc. full, irrevocable permission to photograph, audio-record, and video-record me during volunteer events, and to publish, broadcast, or display my likeness, name, voice, and image in any media format (including website, social media, print material, and promotional campaigns) for educational, promotional, or charitable purposes without compensation.
   
   

   Note: If you do not consent to media publication, you must notify the Lead Organizer on-site at check-in prior to the start of the event.
   
   

8. NOTICE TO NATURAL GUARDIANS OF MINOR PARTICIPANTS
   Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized responsible adult at all times during the activity. If the participant is under 18 years of age, the parent or natural legal guardian must review and consent to the statutory release below pursuant to Section 744.301(3), Florida Statutes:
   
   NOTICE TO THE MINOR CHILD’S NATURAL GUARDIAN
   

   READ THIS FORM COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. YOU ARE AGREEING TO LET YOUR MINOR CHILD ENGAGE IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY. YOU ARE AGREEING THAT, EVEN IF EVERYDAY ADVOCATES, INC. USES REASONABLE CARE IN PROVIDING THIS ACTIVITY, THERE IS A CHANCE YOUR CHILD MAY BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY BECAUSE THERE ARE CERTAIN DANGERS INHERENT IN THE ACTIVITY WHICH CANNOT BE AVOIDED OR ELIMINATED. BY SIGNING THIS FORM YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR CHILD’S RIGHT AND YOUR RIGHT TO RECOVER FROM EVERYDAY ADVOCATES, INC. IN A LAWSUIT FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, TO YOUR CHILD OR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT RESULTS FROM THE RISKS THAT ARE A NATURAL PART OF THE ACTIVITY. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SIGN THIS FORM, AND EVERYDAY ADVOCATES, INC. HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO LET YOUR CHILD PARTICIPATE IF YOU DO NOT SIGN THIS FORM.
   
   

9. GOVERNING LAW, SEVERABILITY, & ELECTRONIC ASSENT
   This agreement shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. By checking the acknowledgment box and submitting the Everyday Advocates volunteer registration form, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms. Such electronic assent constitutes my electronic signature and agreement to this waiver to the fullest extent permitted by law.
