Volunteer Liability Waiver & Release of Liability

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that volunteer activities organized by Everyday Advocates, Inc. may take place in outdoor public spaces, including but not limited to streets, sidewalks, parks, waterways, and community areas. Activities may include walking, neighborhood inspections, environmental cleanups, community events, and other physical activities. I acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks including but not limited to physical injury, accident, exposure to environmental conditions, and contact with the general public. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to participate in Everyday Advocates volunteer activities, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Everyday Advocates, Inc., its directors, officers, staff, volunteers, contractors, partners, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation, including claims arising from the negligence of Everyday Advocates, Inc. or any of its representatives.
3. MEDICAL CONDITIONS & FITNESS
I confirm that I am in adequate physical health to participate in the volunteer activity I have registered for. I agree to inform event organizers of any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect my participation. Everyday Advocates, Inc. is not responsible for providing medical care during volunteer events.
4. MINOR PARTICIPANTS
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized responsible adult at all times during the event. By submitting the volunteer sign-up form on behalf of a minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms they have read this waiver, accept all terms on the minor's behalf, and grant full permission for the minor's participation.
5. PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE
I grant Everyday Advocates, Inc. permission to photograph or record video of me during volunteer activities and to use such images or footage for educational, promotional, and social media purposes without compensation. If you do not consent to photography, please notify the event organizer upon arrival.
6. INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Everyday Advocates, Inc. and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses, including attorney's fees, arising from my participation in volunteer activities or my violation of any terms of this waiver.
7. GOVERNING LAW
This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
8. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By submitting the Everyday Advocates Volunteer Sign-Up Form, I acknowledge that I have read this waiver in its entirety, that I understand its terms, and that I agree to be bound by them voluntarily and without coercion.
