Beach Water Quality & Advisories
The Florida Department of Health (DOH) monitors beach water quality across Florida by testing for bacteria and contamination and issues advisories when swimming may be unsafe. Beach safety is also affected by conditions like rip currents, surf height, and lifeguard flag warnings, with daily rip current risk updates issued by the National Weather Service.
